Ten ones make one ten

Ten ones make one ten. Snap 10 cubes into one rod.

  1. Ones are single cubes

    One cube is one. Count: 1, 2, 3 up to 10.

  2. Ten cubes snap to a rod

    When you have 10 cubes, snap them into one rod. One rod is one ten.

  3. Same amount

    10 ones and 1 ten are the same amount. They are packed differently.

  1. How many ones make 1 ten?

    The rod is as long as 10 cubes. So 10 ones make 1 ten.

    Answer: 10
  2. How many ones make 3 tens?

    Each ten is 10 ones. Three tens: 10, 20, 30.

    Answer: 30
