  1. Pairs

    Two shoes make a pair. Two pairs are 4 shoes. Three pairs are 6.

  2. Say the twos

    2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20.

  3. Even numbers

    These numbers end in 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8. They are even. Every dot has a partner.

Two examples, worked out one step at a time.

  1. Count by 2s: 2, 4, 6, __

    Add 2 to 6. That is 8.

    Answer: 8
  2. Count by 2s: 12, 14, __

    Add 2 to 14. That is 16.

    Answer: 16
