Integrated Mathematics 2

Integrated Mathematics 2

Integrated Mathematics 2 is the second course in our integrated mathematics series. This course is designed to introduce students to the rigors of high school mathematics in preparation for the International Baccalaureate. In IM 2 students will begin an in-depth study of functions, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics.  IM 2 is being taught by Mr. Santowski, Mr. Rawlings, and Mr. Smith this year! 

Course Outline

Unit 1: Linear Relations
Unit 2: Coordinate Geometry
Unit 3: Trigonometry
Unit 4: Exponential Relations and Logs
Unit 5: Quadratic and Non-Linear Relations
Unit 6: Statistics


Grades

A semester exam will be 20% of the semester grade.


The remaining 80% will be determined as follows:
          Coursework (Homework and Classwork)      20%             
          Minor Assessments                                            35%
          Major Assessments                                            45%


Extra Help
Please encourage your son or daughter to seek extra help when having difficulties.
We are usually available before or after school and at many other times during the day.
Arranging a time in advance is best but not required.
